PE and Sport Premium
All pupils leaving Trinity CE Primary School are physically literate and have acquired the knowledge, skills and motivation necessary to equip them for a healthy, active lifestyle and lifelong participation in physical activity and sport.
How we use the PE and sport premium
At Trinity CE Primary School we recognise the contribution of PE to the health and well-being of the children. In addition, it is considered that an innovative and varied PE curriculum and extra-curricular opportunities have a positive influence on concentration.
We endeavour to build capacity and capability within Trinity CE Primary School to ensure that improvements made now will benefit pupils joining the school in future years.
Purpose of the funding
Schools spend the sport funding on improving their provision of PE and sport, but we have the freedom to choose how we will do this.
For example, we can use our funding to:
- hire qualified sports coaches to give children PE taught by specialists.
- provide existing staff with training or resources to help them teach PE and sport more effectively
- introduce new sports or activities and encourage more pupils to take up sport
- support and involve the least active children by running or extending school sports clubs and/or holiday clubs.
- run sports activities with other schools
- run sport competitions, or increasing participation in the development of school games.
