Zephaniah - Yrs 5&6

Welcome to the Zephaniah class page. Below you will find details of what the children have been learning and doing at school. Please click on the link to the right of this page for homework.

Spring Term 2025

Pupils attended the Henley Youth Festival workshop - repurposing materials to make some wonderfully creative and colourful headdresses with Emma Cooling.

We spent the afternoon focussing on identifying online scams and what to do if we found ourselves not quite sure if something was real. We had some great discussions and debates about what and who to trust. We also generated our own secure passwords, which hopefully the children have not told you about but have implemented!

World Book Day

We have been discussing the importance of libraries in schools and communities. Inspired by our current English lessons based on the book 'I believe in Unicorns' we made our own protest posters - the children really enjoyed putting forward their opinions and thoughts on the topic.

We have been learning about the stages of a volcanic eruption - we made 3D diorama models to show this. We have also been learning about where volcanoes, earthquakes and tsunamis are most likely to occur in the  world and why.
